A chap at work has a D2 which he has had from new and has a problem that the dealers can't get to the bottom of which is a cold running problem

I have put a few thoughts forward but I said I would ask the question..

it has now power what so ever when cold and needs full throttle to pull away

(he is unlike me a sensible driver and not trying to cain it away from junctions just normally pulling away from junctions are a struggle)

he has had

new AFM

new sections of loom

newmerus days at the dealer checking the simptons but no joy.

I have suggested temp sensors or air leak

What's it like when it is hot is it 100% ok then?

Is there any misfiring and/or black smoke when trying to pull away with the problem?

I guess the new sections of loom included the injector harness?

Things I would check would be the EGR valve (jammed open - but usually produces tonnes of black smoke under load) and fuel pressure.

I would go with Bog monster os this.......fuel pressure or EGR problem........any fault codes or does he have access to live data which might tell us more.
