ianc
Hi Can anybody supply me with the part number for a light relay for a 24volt lightweight? Better still anybody got one they could sell me cheap!
dasterdly
evening, dont think there is a specific headlamp relay for a 24 volt system.. maybe its the infa-red headlamp relay part number you need ? cheers...
ianc
There are two relays on the right of the bulkhead in the engine bay. Both look the same but I can't read the part number off them. The lefthand one got smashed during an engine swap and as a result ther lights don't work anymore! It's the part number for that relay I need
dasterdly
evening, the two relays you refer to are the horn relay and the stop light relay, the one nearest the engine is the horn relay. this information is for a 24volt series 3 petrol airportable. if the relay nearest the engine is broken, then i assume the horn wouldnt work ? cheers... ianc
I haven't checked the horn but the lights definitely don't work - I'm really confused now!
oneten110
They are standard Lucas 6RA relays. readily available from lucas distributors for about £10 each. As previously mentioned the 2 on a 24V airportable do the horn and the brake lights. Just a daft suggestion, but have you checked the fuses? ianc
Yes fuses are OK, horn is also OK. I'll stick a new one in and see what happens. Cheers for the help
oneten110
If you look in your yelopages there should be a Lucas distributor in there. I have always found my local one very helpful (even if they do take the P every time I go in for another bit) if you get stuck, give me a shout and I will see if I have one (relay) laid around
02GF74
whaty's so special about these relays? If it is SPST type then look at Maplins, do both 12 and 24 V for about £2.
