What is the purpose of the sensor on the EGR blanking plate? Nice post, I have a Redarc dual battery isolator and I'm thinking about installing a second alternator. Thanks The second spring is an entry requirement for some competitions. The sensor looks to be a thermocouple for an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauge, these are added to tweaked engines to let you know when you are at risk of melting your pistons and other bits.
