haggeruss
Hi can anyone help me??? I've got a 1995 3.9 Disco with no live feed to the fuel pump. I tried pressing the inertia switch at the rear of the engine bay but that didn't do the trick. Also i connected a 12v supply to the white wire that feeds the pump then it started up fine, could it be a relay??
BogMonster
If it has a two button alarm remote, see the Alarm Spider post in the tech archive
FridgeFreezer
The fuel pump only goes live when the ECU can see the engine turning (by the feed of pulses from the ignition amp / coil -ve terminal to the ECU). Full EFI diagnostics guides in the tech archive.

vougese39
check the interia switch as it may have tripped otherwise it is a wiring fault. hit it with a hammer till you hear it buz then reset it and retry.
haggeruss
Hit what exactly with a hammer?
Hotdog
Have you checked the fuel pump fuse? also the ECU will only feed power to the fuel pump for a short period of time (5 sec?) if it doesn't see the engine RPM signal (ie engine not running). haggeruss
Hi, i've checked all the fuses in fuse box on right hand side of engine bay & fusebox above the drivers footwell. I.m thinking it might be crank sensor??

FridgeFreezer
If it's a 3.9 with a distributor then I it won't have a crank sensor, it gets its feed from the coil -ve as per my post. And I'll say again - Full diagnostics manuals are in the technical archive!
iomlt
Fuel pump should spin up for a couple of seconds when ignition is on. (mine does on my rrc and disco) then go off and then once gets the signal from the Coil run again. so if your not getting power checked the relay? is the ignition relay clicking too?
