mad_pete
after trying very hard to find a valve that would allow expansion and contraction in my winch tank but not be open all the time, I put a fuel tank breather in and a camelbak mouthpiece on. Hopefully that lets the tank breathe when it needs to without being open all the time.
AndyEvans
could also try going to a hydraulic engineer and getting either a breather cap or combination filler breather. these alow the air in and out but stops the hydraulic oil getting out. will_warne
Also, run the pipe along 3 sides of the tank and down - that will stop any leaks that get passed the check valve.
