Paul Humphreys
I am looking at fitting longer shocks to my 110. The shocks are 6 inches longer that standard. The problem I have is I need to raise the shock mounts. Dose anyone know where I can get mounts or is it a case of making them? They need to come out so I dont have to cut the rear tub. As I am fitting +2 springs Do I need to lift the shock mounts by 4 inches? Paul
landrover598
I just fitted +6" shocks to my defender on the weekend, i made my own raised top mounts. The only ones i could find were the $crapiron ones, and i don't know if they sell them as a seperate part, definately don't want to know how much £££ Mine are raised about 6" from standard, with a +2" spring

JST
i think the guys who do max traction do extension brackets that will take +6" shocks as well. red90 has their old demo vehicle him or dunsteryhybrid may know.
landrover598
As promised It's a bit cr4p, but does the job
Paul Humphreys
Thanks Dave, that is the sort of thing I was thinking of. But bolting the old shock mount on to the new rasied mount. Also doing 2 stays down the side. Paul
freeagent
try RJ harvey in Essex, i think Ray makes shock mounts, so might do a special... theres some pretty mad trucks come out of his workshop....
