Thanks in advance Don't know about a kit or about Freelanders, but is there anything on the vehicle that turns off at this speed anyway, like video screens etc.? You could detect that and trigger a lock command. Given that is has an ECU, it may just be a matter of activating the feature (a friend's Berlingo popemobile was "adjusted" in this way). Dorsetfreelander Posted February 21, 2010 Share Posted February 21, 2010 I may be wrong about this but isn't there a legal requirement for the doors to be automatically unlocked in the event of a serious collision if you have this sort of facility? Blippie Posted February 24, 2010 Share Posted February 24, 2010 I think the car can be programmed by a dealer to have this feature - they can certainly change the entry system from "one plip opens driver door, second opens all" to "one plip opens all". There is an inertia cut off that pops the locks in the event of a crash ( though quite how Mrs Blip activated it commuting, I do not know ) so that is not a problem.
