western
is the outer or inner casing damaged ? it should compress & extend fully with some effort to make it do these, if not then it's dead. similar to priming a normal shock absorber. western
workshop manual just says if it is felt the unit is outside acceptable limits, fit a new steering damper. no mileage or time duration given.
