Why you opting for an inch smaller rim size??? Unless your going off roading?? Your really down grading yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
landkeeper
cos 1 tyre for it is over 200 euro i can get 4 17s with very good tyres for a little more ,our irish roads and the potholes after the frost suck i'll be going back to 16s and a nice high profile soon
BogMonster
I thought the D2 was different to the D3 but I don't know for sure...
LR NUT
I thought the D2 was different to the D3 but I don't know for sure... learn something knew everyday my colleague at work fitted 20inch stormers on his D2 and it does look pretty good, apparantly even BMW X5's wheels will fit as Land Rover where under ownership by them when they took out the ****ty X5. Mind you anyone putting X5 alloys on a Land Rover need their head read lol. Within a year of BMW launching the X5 they sold it back to Ford basically they copied Land Rovers four wheel drive platform as prior to this they had never developed a full time four wheel drive vehicle. Even the copy was a carp job no low box or nothing (not sure about the current one) my partners freelander one is better off road

landkeeper
it's not the size of the wheel its the stupid low profile 55 tyre as there isn't enough sidewall to absorb the shock when hitting something the 255/55/18 has the same profile as say a 235/70/16 but there is significantly more rubber in the tyre wall in the smaller wheel/combo but the lower profile tyr is fine on a good road as there is less 'roll' on the tyre when cornering
