Drizz
Are there rebuild kits available or do you have to buy all the individual parts? Im going through microcat and theres lots of parts lol so buying a kit would be easier. Any recommendations?
Les Henson
Pinion and ring gear should be a matching set. The only other thing is the sun gears, which come as a set - 4 x sun gears, pin, 2 x circlips. Bearings are seperate, but 4 of them - Pinion outer bearing, pinion inner bearing, carrier bearings x 2. Rebuilding a diff perfectly is very time consuming, but doing it by 'feel' gets it pretty good. Mix-'n'-match of the gearing is not so good however. Les. Drizz
I should have explained better. I meant everything apart from the diff's as im going arb and ashcroft shafts/CVs, so i mean spheres, seals and associated parts Cheers
nickwilliams
There's a Britpart kit for the swivels, about 70 notes + VAT from Paddocks. Bear in mind that for some strange reason it does not include the gaskets for the lower swivel pins (FTC3647). I've just comprehensively re-built my front axle, including replacing all seals as well as fitting new pistons and seals in the calipers (although I have not changed the half shafts). I've been keeping a spreadsheet with a list of what I have spent on my project, which includes a list of all the part numbers. If you'd care to PM me an e-mail address I'll send you the list of parts for the axle. Nick.
