Bush65 Posted June 25, 2010 Share Posted June 25, 2010 I have heard some fine claims from people that have used a hybrid turbo from TD5 Alive, but have no personal experience. Simply bolting on a hybrid turbo is no guarantee, it needs to be properly sized for your engine and what you want from it. You also need to address issues with the engine management computer and higher boost pressures. IMHO, a properly sized VNT turbo should perform better (broader operating range) than any fixed geometry turbo. I would try Porny or Pete (see above posts) if you decide to go this way.
