Bummer - I'm trapped at work too, but I don't think I'm facing the sack. But I don't even have a motor at the moment, so can't help you with parts chasing.

I bet if you phoned Merlin now, they'd overnight one to you.

1AM? thats still half the working night left, where are you going to be???????? is it a screw type and what size fittings???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I will arrive in Winchester about 1am (get to UK about 11.30 local, if I can't get bumped to an earlier train).

It is an infinitely adjustible screw type, the fittings are vaguely land rover sized, but I wouldn't want to make any false promises with details. I think it's a pretty good one, sorry I don't know the size - bought it AGES ago.

Call me ANY time - uk mob working from 11.30 tonight.

I love you

(in a strictly hetrosexual way) is it/would it be on 3/16th and with a screw adjuster?

my back brakes are causing serious MOT unfriendlyness

it is a screw type that goes in line, dont know the tread, taken off a mk2 escort rally car,

send me your number or call me later, i'll have a look 4 it as soon as i get home,

if i can get out of what im ment to be doing tonite, i maybe able to get over your way but

cant promise

cheers

Train? Does that imply Folkestone to Winchester in an hour and a half? Blimey! :)

Ok, I'm here. It's after 1a.m. (1:03), but I've been home at least 5 minutes! :P

Jez, if we don't speak first, I'll dig out the doobry first thing in the a.m. - Got to pop to Micheldever Station (near the tyre place) tomorrow, so that could be a good time to hook up.

Chris - the train was the eurotunnel (in a hire car cos I'm too damn slow to actually finish a project). 1.5 hours was bang on in the car (in the rain - welcome to the UK...).

Jules - I guess you mean the opposite?! Yup, grew up here but haven't 'lived' here in ooh, dunno, 10 years?

I think that's everything! Goodnight y'all! Al.

P.S. Jez - feel free to call, but the gizmo is in Shawford down near the L'Ibex-Rouge's place, so I won't be able to measure it until tomorrow a.m. It was sold for Landy application, so without seeing it I'm 'sure' it'll fit...:D:ph34r:

Jez - hope you got it's posterior thoroughly kicked in time. Keep us posted while on your travels.

Jules - yeah, I think Andy mentioned you and Ali are local guys. Seems quite a lot of this forum is from round here-ish.

Al.
