I have a 1999 v8 3.9 ,petrol have servise my disco changed plug leads as it would not fire up.Naw it dose and rev,s nice but when put into drive it cough,s and splutters,I do not know whot to do naw can anyone help. FridgeFreezer Posted July 26, 2010 Share Posted July 26, 2010 If you've been trying to start it a lot and failing then pull the plugs and check they're not fouled with fuel, V8's are very fussy about that. Check you've got the leads in the right order. After that, if it's still rubbish then look at rotor/cap/coil/amp. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
