will4x4
Hi, Where do people buy the rubbery /plastic landrover wheel arch extensions from? i am looking for the home made look which just screw in and hangs over about 4-5 inches longer than the standard defender ones...any ideas? A lot of the challenge guys run them but am struggling to find the right stuff as obviously needs to be flexible but a little stiff to then i can cut them to fit etc Cheers Will

Tris Cocks
Plain old conveyor belt with a few penny washers and nuts and bolts does the job nicely
will4x4
Great any ideas where to source that sort of stuff from? or does anyone have any they can sell me? Cheers
zardos
some people use kaylan from http://www.kaylan.co.uk/ Rally mudguards are made from it It is more flexible than conveyor belt but still has good stand out properties. Not cheap (seem to remember about £200 for a 6mm thick sheet that will do at least 4 wheel arches)
will4x4
thanks zardos if possible i wanted to do them really cheap as i only smash them to pieces anyway hoping there might be a cheaper way
zardos
For conveyor belt look up a local firm To give you an idea Here is a place in Sheffield http://www.conveyorbeltingandrollers.com/special_offers_secondhand_glenco.htm That have second hand prices on the net, for the thickness you require (probably about 5mm) they are about £8.50 a meter for the narrowest belt.
