g&t
Hmmm, thinner glass, would that be introduced along with the concealed hinge doors then? 4mm glass introduced Dec '88, concealed hinges together with deeper sills in May '89. These changes appear to be the last prior to the introduction of the 3.9 in Oct '
Range Rover Blues
Concealed hinges (and the hot-wire EFi) were introduced to "americanise" the RRC. Concelaed hinge doors have smaller gaps in them, the hot-wire helpd meet emissions regs and the 3.9 just made it competitive in the USA. I wonder if the glass was to offset the extra weight of insulation or side impact bars, or perhpas to reduce cost. Saw a RRC in the trailer for "deeper blue" the other night. disco_al
There's one tucked in the background of The Jackal with Bruce Willis........somewhere in the first half hour or so i believe.
g&t
There was several close shots of a cyprus green RRC that was parked up in last nights 'american chopper' prog on Quest. Think it was being used by the film crew, judging by the gear on the roof-rack.
