A good TDI still fetches a good price, why not sell it and buy a later td5, rather than spending £2000+ on an engine, ecu, harness etc Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My 300tdi has done 130000 miles and lacks power, as well as oil blowing out everywhere The gearbox has a syncro problem with crunching gear changes. The chassis is good and has a purpose made tipping body on it for tree surgery, hence the reason why I would rather pay for a TD5 engine/gearbox, than try and sell my 300tdi which I don't think in its present state would make much money. Now there's a thought! LEZ only applies to commercial diesel vehicles i do like V8's - my other toy is a Triumph Stag with original 3.0l V8 !
