Souster
Hi, does any one know where the fuel tank breather is on a 300tdi. Is it the pipe that joins onto the fuel filler neck? Ive heard that extended fuel tank breathers are used for wading. But, if it joins onto the filler neck wouldnt the tank fill with water anyway if the cap is not sealed? western
AFAIK, it's at the fill neck, you only need to extend the fuel tank breather if your wading far deeper than the recommended max for a standard vehicle.
Souster
Thanks western. I was just going to extend it as a precaution really. Im not really going to wade much deaper than standard, so it should be ok then. How important is the timing case breather, as i have done everything else
western
timing case breather is only worth having if you leave the wading plug in all the time, but it still needs to be removed to check for oil leaks/water ingress.
