Rotor Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Hi My P38 fr r/h window wont reset, it just keeps running when the lift button is pressed and causes the gear on the mechanism to ratchet like a machine gun! David Sparkes Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 The gear mechanism is worn out. The easy cure is to change it. The difficult cure is to take it out, cut off a strip containing the few teeth that haven't been used, grind off the same number of worn teeth, then weld the strip of unused teeth into their place.
