freelander brake pipe

took my 52 plate for mot today first failure in 3 years of owning it. it needs a brake pipe changing front to back . the test bloke says i can put a repair piece in to replace corroded bit. what size of pipe will i need and is there a kit available to replace the corroded piece. i have no doubts i can do it its just the sizes of pipw needed and fittings to do the job im stuck with :blink: ,,

I bought a brake pipe flaring tool some years ago from Halfords when I had a Morris Marina (now that was a maintenance challenge) but only used it once. You might find the following helpful although it might be cheaper overall to buy a replacement brake pipe.

Fittings *should* be M10 metric, they are on my '98. Standard 3/16" copper/cupro-nickel pipe is available by the reel at motor factors, as are flaring tools and fittings. I wouldn't replace a section of pipe, do the whole thing then it's done.
