davidstoncold Posted October 26, 2010 Share Posted October 26, 2010 took my 52 plate for mot today first failure in 3 years of owning it. it needs a brake pipe changing front to back . the test bloke says i can put a repair piece in to replace corroded bit. what size of pipe will i need and is there a kit available to replace the corroded piece. i have no doubts i can do it its just the sizes of pipw needed and fittings to do the job im stuck with ,, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Standard 3/16" copper/cupro-nickel pipe is available by the reel at motor factors, as are flaring tools and fittings. I wouldn't replace a section of pipe, do the whole thing then it's done.
