rocky
Hi, i am going to put a gutter mounted spotlight bar, with the lights wired into my main beam of my 90 tdci, could someone kindly suggest the best route for the cables (as unobtrusive as possible)and where to drill a hole in the roof. Frax
If it was me I would drill a hole at the top front edge of the drivers door, pull door seal down a bit first at keep as close as posible to top edge, feed wires through and down inside piller behind cover. western
I used a plug/socket on the roof just above the B post door pillar, no trapped wires in door shutline then.
Mocha Bear
I have drilled the roof just becide the light bar, and come in behind the trim as above with a rubber gromit. I have a roof bar with lights for sale if your looking? was only fitted for a couple of months then fitted a cage, so is in brilliant condition! rocky
Many thanks for the replies. I did want to put lights on an A bar but the insurance co., wouldn't agree so it will have to be a roof bar or rack. Regards, rocky
western
don't see why our chosen location for the lights is of any concern to insurers, unless they don't insure 'A' bars. loads of R's have additional lights on those type of bars.
