BogMonster
You don't need to but you'll need a triple jointed elbow to get in there without removing it - its a pig of a thing to get at even without a seat fitted! You can get it by just moving the seat part way out but it is very difficult.
Mark
Alternatly, undo the two plastic wingnuts that hold the unit in place, and remove the whole thing. I found this much easier than trying to change the bulb itself. Mark
VERY OLD DISCO
If you cut a short length of plastic hose of the right size (I dont know what size, just so it fits) and push it over the nuts its easier to get the on and off, and you wont drop them into the deep dark hole.... Andy
im told a handy 5 year old has the right size arms to undo those wingnuts. not being a family man & not wanting to get arrested i cant 'borrow' one to test this theory.
