What I will say is be carefull with paddocks as they seem to be selling total carp quality spares, I threw away the last order I recieved from them. Phil Hancock
Which hubs do you have? flat ended or dome ended? Dome ended have 2 seals, an inner and an outer. Flat ended have a hub seal and a halfshaft seal.
Range Rover Blues
The ABS style axles (with flatter half shafts) have the diff to hub oil seal within the stub axle and running on a journal on the half shaft, this replaces the seal you see beneath the head of the halfshaft on older axles. The other oil seal runs on the inside of the hub and is the hub to exterior seal. Later models had a revised seal with the vertical lip missing, the lip keeps mud away form the seal surface. The seal should be 4mm below the hub surface if it has the lip, I prefer to fit this type but you also need the check the running surface of the stub axle, if it's scored or rusty it may well leak.
