Frogland
This might sound a bit daft, but i'm not sure weather my 1998 110 def has got a handbrake 'on' light on the dash panel.Should it have one ? if so why isn't it working ? where should i look ? I've never thought about it before because everything is so spartan in a defender
Mo Murphy
Remove the handbrake gaiter. If you see a small switch activated by the handbrake handle and your light doesn't work, then you have a problem. If there is no switch evident then the warning light is behaving as it should HTH Mo
LandyManLuke
It should have the position on the dash, but it's probably not wired and you won't have a bulb or switch. I believe it was/is only county spec vehicles that get the switch fitted at the factory. It's certainly not hard to add a switch yourself, if you want to. there's a post on here about fitting one. edit: tech archive post here
