Tibout
hi guys just a quick question. when cleaning the sedimenter, when you remove the top bolt and remove the whole bowl will fuel from the tank keep coming out from the pipe or it's the same as the fuel filter? thanks thierry
Range Rover Blues
I'm told it won't syphon out, especailly if the tank is almost empty.

Ratty43
Haynes gives the impression that it will but I haven't found that to be case. There's still a lot of diesel in there so you have to put up with a wet arm but it doesn't syphon from the tank (I've not done it with more than about half a tank though). You could always stick a clean container underneath if it does.
davek0974
Mine was ok with half a tank. Stick a plastic bag over the bowl before you break the seal, then the fuel will run Into the bag not your armpit.
