leon_81
I have a (hopefully) minor issue with my 300Tdi Disco. I've noticed recently that when I've been out in it and stop, there is a faint burnt rubber smell around the passenger side rear I've had a look and can't work out what it could be / where the smell is coming from. I've checked the obvious, things like tyre not rubbing etc Does anyone have any idea what else it could possibly be? Any help appreciated! bear
Have you picked up and melted a plastic bag on the exhaust?
leon_81
I'll check the donut at the weekend - hadn't even considered it tbh I did have a quick look to see if anything was stuck on the exhaust - didn't see anything, but as I need to get under it to check the donut I can have another look Cheers guys - appreciated! Range Rover Blues
Exhaust hanger? flat tyre?
leon_81
Tyres all ok - treads don't seem warm after a drive, so I'd say pressures and probably alignment are ok. Exhaust hangers look ok too - didn't get a chance to check the donut at the weekend so still need to do that
Range Rover Blues
Don't know what to suggest as I can't think of anything else that far back which could be hot. I assume you also checked the brakes aren't binding and theres' nothing daft like a mudflap caught on the tyre.
