Daymo
Could someone please confirm wether the part that is outlined in red on this image is part no MUC8950? The vehicle is a 1989 110" CSW and the photo is taken from the OSR wheel looking forward. Is it possible to replace this part without taking off the tub? Thanks guys. western
that's the rear seat cros member, you have 2 options. genuine lr part is http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/8797/KVB500230-REAR-BODY-CROSSMEMBER-110.html?search=NRC4171&page=1 replace with the genuine LR part or buy/fit this version from http://www.yrm-metal-solutions.co.uk/053-defender-110-mid-crossmember-204-p.asp when mine needs changing again, I'll buy the YRM item. Daymo
Awesome, thanks. Will it go through an MOT with it rusted through?
western
would get a advisory at the minimum, would be better to replace it.
Retroanaconda
Corrosion within 30cm of a body mount is a fail, and since that crossmember is a body mount...you do the maths No question about it really, the YRM unit is by far the better option. Cheaper, installable without either cutting it in half or removing the tub, and galvanised so it shouldn't need doing again!
Daymo
Nice one Gents. YRM gets my money.
