I dont recall doing anything other than unbolting one and bolting the new up. Yep, the complete boxes, including the manual steering box as used on MoD models, are all interchangeable, but the internal parts are very unlikely to be so. Sorry - I misunderstood you. Yes, I agree - I suspect very different parts internally.
