Rickspark
Hello all, At around £15 for a set of seals, and there are plenty of offer on the web, I'm thinking I will replace these. There are a good few postings suggesting that this will be a waste of time and I should replace the box but £15 vs £250 is making me feel it's worth a try for the cost of a day of my time. Any thoughts would be welcome and does anyone know what size that big nut is? Richard
K88 MUD
Its normaly wear in the box that makes the seals leak so a new seal might help for a real short time as its a bit softer.....and IIRC the nut is a 41mm HTH
gadget
The seals failed on mine because the sector shaft had pitted and worn. They are repairable, but if you're looking for the repair to last it's a lot more involved than simply swapping seals. There are two types of seals too. Take your seals out and check which you have before you buy replacements.
