Mark
Bought some sumo bars at billing, but I need to order some TRE's. Can anyone tell me if they are threaded as per the factory trackrod - ie one lefthand and one righthand thread, or if they are both righthand threaded? ta Mark
Astro_Al
I'm almost positive they are opposite threads so you can turn the bar to adjust the width - better let someone else confirm it though... (Pretty sure - 99%). Al.
Bull Bar Cowboy
Yep……………. standard TRE threads ……….. lefthand on the nearside and standard right hand on the off side ………. The track rod can be reversed if you wish, or if you send it to a stealers grease monkey …….. but that’s the standard set up. Ian

Bull Bar Cowboy
Does it matter whcih way round? And what happens if other way round? I dont think it really matters ............. but if you ask for a N/S TRE ......... you get the left hand threaded one and the converse is true .................. Cal
You could ring Paul at Challenger 4x4 - he will definitely know as he sells them. Check my signature for their website
BogMonster
Does it matter whcih way round? And what happens if other way round? What happens is that you go to buy one without checking the parts man says "which side" gives you the "right" one you get home find it isn't the "right one" and have to go back and get the opposite side Other than that, no disadvantage (Missing the obvious opportunity to try and persuade somebody that it makes the steering wheel turn the opposite way )
