sponcom
Hi All I collected my Discovery 2 yesterday and drove it 100 miles home without a problem. One thing I did notice was that I could feel every bump in the road on the motorway particularly with poor surfaces like the old concrete surfaces on the M43. The vehicle transmitted the road vibrations through the steering wheel and I could feel them through the seats. The Disco is fitting with the 16" wheels so there is a lot of rubber compared to the lower profle 17 and 18" wheels so I was expecting a bit more 'compliant' ride. Just wondering whether this seems normal or whether there might be a suspension/steering component that should be checked? In all other respects it handled and steers well. Thanks, Paul
BogMonster
I'd have a look at tyre pressures as this makes a massive difference to mine. At the end of the day it is still a vehicle with live axles but the ride is pretty good considering that.

Phil B
I think it also depends on ho much tread is left, my discos coming up to the wear markers on scorpion road Tyres and I notice mine is like yours is explained compared to my 300 on m/t's which runs smooth in comparison
landroversforever
Our old disco 2 was running the 16" wheels with standard Michelin Synchrones. It was noticeable harsher ride when the tyres were pumped up for towing the caravan, but then not let down again!!
