eastw77
HI, I have a 1988 RRC with a 2" body lift and I am going to be fitting a 2" OME lift and Gwyn Lewis shock mounts etc. I will need to get new brake lines made up but how much longer will I need to get them made? bushwhacker
I would hazard a guess at 4 inches minimum and 5 for a bit of come and go. That's just my opinion so wait for other replies .
Boris113
Is it the flexi part you are replacing? Llama 4x4 make braided hoses to suit land rovers in any size you want. I've not used them personally but have heard plenty of good things about them.
eastw77
Yes its the flexible hose I need to extend. I will be getting them made up locally as shipping to NZ is a bitch :-( I just need to know how long to get them made.
ejparrott
Don't forget the brake lines are not central about the axle, and if you start dislocating, the axle will 'drop' a lot more than you expect! Has any one tried silcone hoses' brake lines as an alternative to braided?
stuck
Gwyn's challenge kit will give you a surprising amount of a axle drop. Just be on the safe side I'd give him a call (time zones permitting) or drop him an email.
