JeffR
Central locking is having a bit of a hissy fit on the rear door. I have a bit of a question regarding the solenoid, when you lock the doors, the plunger in the solenoid goes up, but does not stay up, that is it falls back ibto the body of the solenoid under gravity. Is this correct or is the solenoid goosed, vehicle is 1992 200tdi Cheers children
teabag
That is one of the symptoms of a broken lock spring the door pin rising and then droping back down slightly, the actuator is in the door cavity not the lock.

JeffR
Well that is six hourd of my life I'll never get back - wretched little spring now replaced and centarl locking functioning , just got to do the other 4 springs next...... Thanks folks, suppose (given the cost of a new actuator) changing just the springs is the cheap option.
