gadget
Whilst moseying about the net I came across a coolant part PYB500040. It's a blanking plug that closes off the oil cooler outlet and was apparently fitted to Discovery TD5s after 2A736340 VIN. By blanking off the oil cooler it would mean that the steel pipe that runs around the rear of the engine and the fuel cooler plumbing can be removed completely. Anyone have a coolant diagram for the post 2A736340? I'd like to see what else they changed.
sierrafery
on the EU2 modells the oil cooler gets the coolant direcly from the rad and on EU3 from the EGR cooler
gadget
Take a look at the flow arrows in the two diagrams. The flow is from the oil cooler to either the radiator or the EGR cooler. The oil cooler gets its supply from the block. I'm hoping that someone has the coolant diagram showing the oil cooler exit blocked off with PYB500040.
