ajh
Just finishing up a 200TDI / V8 swap that others started. The last obstacle is the turbo position has the pressure output pointed directly into the left shock tower. Is the only reasonable solution to this clocking the turbo housing? Nigelw
What was the engine from originally? My 200Tdi turbo sits about 5 inches behind the shock turret.
ajh
It was from a Discovery. Why it is like this I'm not sure.
ajh
My guess is that it is using some of the V8 mounting locations and propshafts. All that work happened before I was involved.
dirtyninety
If you find 300tdi manifolds and turbo, the turbo will be pointing the opposite direction. However then your exhaust would hit the shock tower. Would be interested to see if you manage to clock a 200 turbo.
discomikey
dirtyninety: IIRC doesent the 300 downpipe go straight down? im pretty sure it does so should be okay. and poeple sometimes do clock the 200 turbo when putting them into a series engine bay, my mate did on his 2a
