cackshifter Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Hi Could someone please tell me the correct way round for the upper u/j on am old style steering shaft. Also one end of the u/j is not concentric, the fork is wider on one side, so how should the offset be? I think mine has been mixed up, sometime in the past, it doesn't seem to fit quite right (but it's a landrover so maybe that's how it is etc) I think the wide bit of the uj is supposed to aligned with the wide bit of steering shaft, and be on the shaft as opposed to column side.
