Do not go wading if not prepared

 After my initiation at Tong I thought I had better change a few fluids ( as well as the keks .) The bottles are full of axle contents the lighter colour is from back axle the darker one is from the front . The back axle breather is lower than the front and I think the back induced a lot of water . So either extend your breathers or keep out .

Yowwwch!

That could have got expensive. Good thing you checked.

Don't forget about the timing case drain plug to fit (assuming it's a Tdi), and the clutch housing has one too.

There is a remote breather kit I believe for the timing case that means you can leave the plug fitted, although it's a good idea to drain any fluids after a wading session.

I think I'd be checking the engine and gearbox/transfer box oils too. The transmission has breather pipes that terminate next to the front axle one IIRC.
