hissing sid
2001 "Y" reg Freelander TD4ES. Have just discovered a bad fuel leak from a connection just under the Engine electronic control module. It was coming from this connector which I have now pushed back together. What I want to know is? Will it happen again? Is this a common problem with TD4s and if it is, is it easy to replace this connection? and if so, How? I will put a photo on and the connection is right in the middle of the photo. Any help appreciated.
Edwardcraney
That the fuel pump pipe, that is where the pump and filter live unlike the later vehicles where it is in the rear wheel arch, chances are the jubilee clip has just come loose over time it should be fine. FridgeFreezer
Looks like someone's been b*ggering about with that, I'm fairly sure they don't have a jubliee clip like that from the factory, and the wiring has a suspicious lump of sparky tape on it... That pipe is not happy, it's bulging, which could be due to the jubliee being over-tight and not being a proper fuel pipe type clip, or could be because the pipe is unhappy and delaminating / going soft.
