daxter1987
So I decided to take apart an AC compressor out of a Land Rover. The compressor is a SANDEN compressor and it is a very common component to go bad. The OE compressor from land Rover is outrageouly expensive, over 1000 dollars for the complete bill. So I decided to take an old one apart I replaced, take some photos and figure out why they go bad. Gazzar
Well done for tackling this. I didn't understand your last comment - did you rebuild the compressor with the new valve?
simonr
Alternatively, since you have a clutch as well, you can just jam the displacement at one setting. Then the AC works just fine - even if it looses a little economy. Sometimes this also makes the climate control a bit fearce / not work in terms of being able to select & hold an exact temperature. However, just on / off works OK. Si
