bill van snorkle
Becoming a lazy bugger in my old age and hate bodywork at the best of times. Have had an 85 4door for a few weeks now, and am quite happy with most things except for the excessive rear overhang. Would like to bobtail it, but couldn't be bothered with the fiddly, intricate amount of work involved shortening the roof lid. I reckon if the rear hatch window and roof corner panels were modified to hang the window vertical, or even reverse sloping, then the rear chassis and lower body section should be reasonably easy to shorten by 30cm or more. Because this mod is likely to have been done many times before, can anyone point me in the direction of a build thread showing pictures of the end result? Bill.
