jrjackso
My stock temperature gauge appears to be dead. Looks like several folks have installed VDO temp gauges as a better replacement. Can someone help me with what the correct matching VDO temperaure sender would be for the 2.5 NA Diesel. It has the original temperature sensor in the head and it appears to be about 5/8" in diameter and 18 tpi.
muttleyd
Would have said 1/4 NPT but the od is a bit big, but a bit small for 3/
Ex Member
5/8" UNF. VDO has senders in the correct size, that screw right in. 323-026 fits well and includes a warning light switch if you ever want to add one. I run a buzzer off of mine. jrjackso
Looks like VDO has 3 5/8-18 sender units. 323-026 5/8-18 NF-3 323-422 5/8-18 UNF 323-483 5/8-18 UNF I am not familiar with NF-3. Is that the same as UNF ?

jrjackso
Thanks everyone and Old Hand specifically. Ordered new gauge and 323-026 sender. I like the idea of being able to add a warning light in the future.
