cheshirewill Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Just had new fuel pump fitted yesterday on TD5 this morning very poor starting again when it was running you can turn off on and starts fine could it have been a bit of air in the system I did re-prime it this morning with the 5 presses of the peddle any body got any ideas. BogMonster Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Could be, take it for a thrash and see, it should clear quickly. If the filter was not changed I would change it as well. Usually if there is air in the system you can hear the pump wailing. Otherwise check the pipes all went back on the pump the right way around! cheshirewill Posted September 21, 2013 Author Share Posted September 21, 2013 thanks for the reply's I took it back to the garage they had not done the filters which they will be doing on tuesday and are changing the pump for a replacement, I don't think its the glow plugs it will ways start if I prime the system again will let you know.
