Heater Fan having hissy fit.

Jeff I had an issue to resolve on a friends blower switch, it was a loose contact pin on the back of the switch.

This is the main power into the switch and it was fixed with just a tap with a center punch on the pin to re-secure the tab.

Certainly worth a look and you will need to remove it any way.

Also worth checking is the resistor-thingy that reduces the power to the motor to give the different speeds: these are well known to fail in interesting ways. If you're lucky they fail 'hard' and you get only full-speed; sometimes they go intermittent and then you get a random mix of usable speeds depending on the day of the week, your mother's cat's star-sign and the instantaneous value of the Dow-Jones index.
