sas pinkie
I have a 1988 110 fitted with 200tdi from a defender, a rear axle with discs from a 300tdi defender and will be fitting the late front axle from the same vehicle. I need to change the brake pedal assembly as its very worn and was wondering if there are any merits to fitting a servo and brake assembly from a later defender? I assume they are all interchangeable, but whats others experiences?
Orgasmic Farmer
I have the complete TD5 set up fitted to my 1983 110, including pedalbox/servo, master cylinder and all 4 calipers/discs. Works fine. I did fit an upgraded servo though which was in development from Bearmach (test rig!) This was much better than the original and is still on there 18 months down the line. Not sure if they ever went into production though
western
pipe end fittings on the later master cylinder IIRC the forward one is bigger, I kept the original servo masre cylinder on my rear disc brake comversion. 300tdi MC won't fit the earlier servo as it has a different bolt hole set up. pedal assembly is the same IIRC.
