Disco-Ron
So, I have n rv8 from a high compression rrc, what I can't decide is what the heads are, they have a big bolt next to the exhaust ports, on most pictures of heads, this bolt is just a blank casting...... the question is, what was originally in where the bolts are??? Roverdrive
Bolts! Original set up used a row of bolts here, but better results were obtained with the change to composite gaskets if these bolts were left out, as an even clamping force was obtained around the liners without them. Disco-Ron
Sorry, you've misunderstood, the bolts I refer to aren't head bolts, they're next to the exhaust manifold ports, as if they had at some point had some sort of o2 sensor or something in them, but on every cylinder!??? Disco-Ron
It would appear to have been some sort of arrangement like the one in item no 161288919673 on the bay..... some sort of emission junk I suspect......

Disco-Ron
Thanks hfh, kinda makes sense, the block is stamped as a hi comp rrc engine, although I guess it could be anything internally by now.....
Bowie69
Or the really late ones with EGR, but unlikely....
