redneck
Just got myself some new front seats for the 110, the military seats weren't doing it for longer journeys. Contrary to most people, I want to fit the center seat, but there isn't anywhere obvious to fit it, so after looking at various manuals and pictures, I'm wondering if there is some sort of frame or bracket that the civvy versions come with, that the military one doesn't. Anyone out there have a picture or info of their center seat installation. Thanks
AndyLandy46
Mine just bolts into the seat box, M8 bolts with big big washers on the underside.

redneck
Many thanks western, thats a very handy site you have there. It looks like I have the captive nut plates but they are in line with the outer seat fixings, nowhere near where the centre seat rails fit, not a problem to make them up, but I didn't want to start drilling more holes if there was some sort of subframe I was missing. cheers
western
what year is your truck, you might need the pre 300tdi early wider seat,
redneck
Its a 1990, but for the seat rails to line up with the holes I have they would need to be about 6" longer and a good 4" wider.
pete3000
Remember the seat frame only needs the captive weight of the seat to be restrained, the seat belt mounts (captive nut plates) should be there slightly outboard and much more substantial. The downwards weight of the passenger is the biggest force, supported by seatbox and some m8 nuts/bolts from sliding/moving. Followed by the rocking forces, side-side and acceleration. In the unlucky event of a front accident you only need to hold the weight of the seat, the seatbelt (lapbelt ) should restrain the passenger. western
It's the earlier seat you need, comes with the frame as in the parts diagram link
