try_hard
Clutch is too stiff for my wife. The defenders have a much better (lighter) arrangement with this pedal box (SKB500280). Is this a direct replacement for the series pedal box? Have a series 3

Jon White
Yes - I have the later defender clutch pedal fitted to my series. It does make the pedal lighter, but you lose control and it makes slipping the clutch more difficult. In the first instance however try unscrewing the bolt from the end of the pivot shaft, and screwing a grease nipple in and giving it a few pumps of grease. The pedal tends to sieze on the shaft otherwise. This can make the world of difference! Cheers Jon
Phil Hancock
My 109" is fitted with a defender clutch pedal box and to be honest although it is lighter in operation it is not massively so and I don't find any problem with lack of feel.
