ajfarrell
Need to measure fuel pressure, will Delphi provide fuel line pressure? E.g. Delphi DS150E car& truck diagnostic tools interface auto programmer code-reader 2014 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LKN46TC/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_8295tb04J8CNP
Lord_Unsub
Friend at work let me try out his Bluetooth plug and play obd2 unit from eBay. I think it was about £10 and the app was free. It displays just about everything on a live feed, and also interrogates ecu fault codes and clears them. Going to get one myself on payday, the interface is really good, it's displayed on gauge readouts on your phones screen that you can configure to your preference. FridgeFreezer
James - got a link to that dongle thingy?
elbekko
Just a regular ELM327 adapter, you can buy them anywhere. Like these ones: http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/ELM327-v1-5-Bluetooth-OBD2-OBDII-Interface-Auto-Diagnostic-Scanner-Car-Tool-/331263180816?pt=FR_JG_Auto_Pi%C3%A8ces_Outillage&hash=item4d20d30010 And then couple that with the Torque app on Android, excellent for reading live data and resetting faults. FridgeFreezer
Cunning. I've got an ELM327 adapter but haven't got an Android - anything for Windows or *nix?
elbekko
Nothing that works well. I've got a handful of programs that I obtained on the internet, but they don't work all that well, even with a USB ELM327 adapter. I guess this can work on *nix if you can get the adapter paired: http://www.obdtester.com/pyobd
Lord_Unsub
yeah sorry as mentioned above. he read it on his samsung galaxy s4 via an app. i've got iPhone 5 and works with that too via app store obviously. even buying an old iPod touch and adaptor will probably be cheaper than a proper diagnostic kit!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271428332803?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648
tony_rigby@btinternet.com
Delphi works very well and covers most of the modules on the car, Scantoool Direct do a dedicated LR scan tool for about £90 that covers much more than generic obd tools.
