Shackleton
JGS do a D2 front prop rebuild kit with GKN greasable UJ's and the rest for around £60. I believe a new prop is nuts money. I don't have a slide hammer or any pullers, UP's write up would suggest I need them. Could I get the centering bearing out without? I've seen some threads where BogMonster is saying he puts 110 front shafts on D2's without any problem. I don't have a 110 shaft but I have my RRC sitting here. Anyone know if either shaft on it will fit? I've stopped driving it, again, because I'm now hearing an intermittent chatter and the odd clunk on drive uptake. That's sensible right, or can I go easy if I need wheels in a pinch?
Gazzar
Buy kit, bring the lot to an agrimechanic who will swap the parts over for you.
Shackleton
out of interest, why specifically an agri mech?
Adam001
Normal garages *may* fumble about with them for a while to figure out how to do it.
Shackleton
just remembered about PTO shafts having UJ's. Anyway if I could afford to pay a mech I could afford to buy myself a slide hammer. I think I'll just fab. a tool for the centering bearing myself. Thanks gents.
