need4speed
Could someone please explain where these are fixed to? I always assumed that BTR4433 and 346924 were fixed to the binnacle mount but after offering up my raptor binnacle mount expecting to see holes where the heater controls would fix to, i notice that they must fix to something else. The parts diagram i have seems quite vague. Im sure its very simple but i didnt have complete dash to take apart to notice how they were fixed.. need4speed
Its ok. Dont all rush to answer at once Looks like the right-hand one fixes to plastic end cap. Nice and strong eh?
western
RH control attaches to the dash end cap which is then screwed to the dash moulding, LH is a similar attachment. but needs access with the instrument pack removed.
Ex Member
The right one also has a bolt down lower that holds it, item 16. Can't recall to what exactly.
western
16 screws into a plastic loknut in side of instrument pack cowling.
need4speed
Thanks guys. I see that the left controller screws to the instrument binnacle mount which at least in my case is steel (Raptor)
need4speed
Oh and as for screw 16 (shown above) i cant for the life of me see where it screws into. On mine the screw hole in the plastic end cover seems to line up with the controller itself? Strange.
western
it should pass under the slider control, mine does & has a plastic spacer tube on it's shank,. slider is secured with 2 screws one each at top & bottom of the slider slot in item 13 in above diagram
Ex Member
Looks like the clip is in the side of the support. A plastic nut should go into the square hole.
need4speed
Ahh thereth lies the banana skin. My raptor binnacle mount doesnt have the square hole for the plastic lokut nut... Not a big problem i guess..
Ex Member
Raptor's website shows a square hole. I would complain and get it sorted. No point paying good money.
