lyron
forgive the title but..just changed the ujs on the front propshaft 300tdi. guess what dewdrop forgot to mark up when I removed the splined end to check for wear on the splines. yep, me!!!! I now have an annoying vibration through the transmission so I am assuming I have got sommat wrong. any advice on how to sort out the configuration of the shaft without me having to take it out and move it one sline at a time. many thanks.. ron. Soren Frimodt
Usually there are small markings on both parts, scraped arrows usually. They can of course be hard to see on an old prop
lyron
non original prop, so does not have any markings whatsoever. it was my own stupid fault for not marking things up before refurb. a mistake I will not be making again. a very valuable lesson learned.have had the prop off and on moving the splined end round one at a time, not quite right yet but a heck of a lot better. will continue tomorrow. have hadf enough for to-day ron. western
the front prop UJ & yokes must be in line 'phased' as detailed in the Disco 300tdi workshop manual page attached.
